Shutka is the largest Roma Village in Europe. This suburb of Skopje was built after the earthquake in 1963. There live about 25.000 Roma in Shutka. A lot of the inhabitants work abroad or have relatives who work in foreign countries. Shutka is under supervision by a Roma board.
